My family taught me that in order to be successful in life we need to hear the voice of our heart. My Dad always says: " If you want something better enough you have to put yourself and go get it". And I'll always remember my mother's words too: " To reach your goals, send your heart first, because your entire body will go right after it!". I also learned that life is not about doing all that you want, but to want all that you do. And that the sun comes out after every storm and if my eyes are filled with tears, I won't be able to see the rainbow.

INTERVIEW

My family taught me that in order to be successful in life we need to hear the voice of our heart. My Dad always says: " If you want something better enough you have to put yourself and go get it". And I'll always remember my mother's words too: " To reach your goals, send your heart first, because your entire body will go right after it!". I also learned that life is not about doing all that you want, but to want all that you do. And that the sun comes out after every storm and if my eyes are filled with tears, I won't be able to see the rainbow.

Describe your childhood when you were growing up from 8 to 13 years old.

I define my childhood as the beginning of a puzzle. All those memories are fundamental to me. As an adult, I have been able to value everything that my parents have done for me. Their unconditional love and struggle to provide me with a good education are the foundations of the puzzle of my life, which has made me a successful woman.

What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?

I have learned that life is not about doing all that you want, but to want all that you do. It's not only to fight for the things that you want, but also to value more what you already have. To know that in spite of all my trials and tribulations and the obstacles that I had to face, I'm still standing and I'm resolved to never give up. I certainly know myself a lot better. I now realize that I am in charge of my own life and only through my effort and dedication I can succeed. I have also learned that the sun always comes out after the storm and if my eyes are filled up with tears I won't be able to see the rainbow.

What is your most memorable moment?

The most memorable moments in my life are the trips to do voluntary work in other countries. Nothing like that to help you realize how fortunate we really are. Coming face to face with all that poverty has shook me to the core. It has helped me to realize that I want to dedicate my life for a good cause that may reach beyond our borders. I treasure all these trips in my heart and wish for many more opportunities to continue to help those in need.

What is your environmental advocacy?

Lessen Pollution.
