115 Contestants will compete for Miss World 2010 Tittle
115 Contestants Vying for Miss World 2010 Tittle
The Global Beauties website reported that the final number of competitors in Miss World 2010 appears to be 115, and not 119, as previously announced
Misses Taiwan (or Chinese Taipei, as the Chinese call it), Dominican Republic, and Fiji (actually the runner-up from Miss Malaysia Universe 2010) never arrived. Miss Slovenia returned home. The reason why Dominican Republic failed to show up at a beauty pageant and Miss Slovenia returned home has not been revealed.
Still, it remains the highest number of candidates on a Grand Slam pageant. The previous record belonged to Miss Tourism Queen International 2008 and Miss World 2009, both with 112 participants.
