The gown of Singapore’s representative at this year’s Miss Universe Pageant in Las Vegas is inspired by the country’s modern landscape. 23-year-old Tania Lim will wear the gown created by 20-year-old Tracy Wu, a design student from China.
The gown, which comes in subtle and fluid lines, bagged the top prize in the competition for the Miss Singapore Universe national dress. Ms Wu, who is a 3rd-year student at the Raffles Design Institute, said she took three weeks to work on the gown, and it only cost her S$500.
“I feel the dress represents the theme very well and also it’s being bling-ed up enough for Vegas,” she said.
